My students need a way to make learning interactive and fun. With the Letter Alive plus students will be able to see and hear letters and words come alive in a whole new way.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are full of energy, creativity and openness to learn in a variety of ways. Every day they come in with smiles knowing our school and classroom is their home away from home; somewhere to experience a smorgasbord of information, communication, and learning in an engaging way. They are ready to reach goals and to be the best students they can. At our school, we have 100% of our kiddos on the free lunch program. Despite their difficulties, whether that be academically, socially or economically, they always persist and come out on top! School is their happy place. My students want to achieve and yearn to show everyone their learning.

My Project

The more engaged a student is in a lesson, the more they are going to retain information. With the Learning Alive Letters, students will see letters come to life and will be able to build words and sentences in a fun and interactive way. Learning Alive is a cross-curricular augmented reality program that appeals to a variety of learning styles, including visual, auditory and tactile, by incorporating science, social studies, geography and more into reading and math.

Children learn best when they are involved in the learning.

They are better able to apply their learning when they have an opportunity to work with and interact with material. Learning Alive allows just that. It allows learning to come alive for the students. Additionally, the interactive whiteboard allows for the children to be involved in their learning.

This program will be something that will be used daily to reinforce letter sounds, build sight words and sentences. Students will get to see their creations come to life and be fully engaged in their learning. This technology will allow for excitement in learning. They will love watching lessons come to life and teachers will love watching learning come to life. Reading, and story time will never be the same. Students will love this learning.
