Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These past years our students have created powerful and entertaining presentations online to document and share their learning throughout science programming. This year we want to give students that same opportunity in person by providing them more technology to explore their thinking. By providing students with a HP curved monitor, the most powerful imaging technology on the market today, we send the message to our youth that they matter. It’s all about dignity.

At GS we want our middle school students to interact with modern technology and not out dated technology.

It is important for our kiddos to have access to the latest tech and gadgets, so that though exploration during the early years they develop the skills they will continue to use as they advance into secondary and college level academic programs.

Students will have the opportunity to use their extra large monitor during their science lab time and after school yearbook club. They will have opportunities to collect real- time data and plug it into software simulations to create various models that they can use to predict future outcomes in their own outdoor neighborhood environment. Having the right tools that work at an optical refresh rate is exactly what we need for our students to take on the opportunities as citizen scientists in their neighborhood school’s community. Also, having the best imaging hardware to produce a high quality yearbook will make publishing time much easier for our scholars.
