Making Learning Stick!

Help me give my students fun and engaging classroom decor for our learning environment. Students love writing with special pens and using tape to hang their posters and work. It is great for collaboration and projects.

My Project

We are asking for sticky tape and cactus-themed decor to add some pizzazz to our classroom and help our learning stick! When students have fun tools to use, they are really engaged in their learning. A cactus correction pen will be just the thing to excite them to focus on their learning. We have also requested some supplies like a paper cutter and a mini classroom laminator. This past year, our class has really benefited from creating hands-on manipulatives to work on vowel teams and patterns. Additionally, as we have become a career connect school, we have focused on our learning themes. We have worked to create little class cutouts of these themes and ideas, and how they are connected and relate to all our learning. We will finish our year learning about economics, and having the vocabulary words laminated and cut for the students to pair together will provide them with an opportunity to make connections and talk about their learning in teams. This sort of learning and think-pair-share works really well with the ease of these everyday materials on hand. Having those little cutouts laminated with these machines makes the manipulatives last longer and are more durable for their learning. When students have their materials labeled and can see their work displayed in the classroom, they really feel a sense of pride. I am so grateful for the community and all the materials we have been able to provide to the class this year with your help.
