Making Learning Personal

My students need visuals to help them understand the science and social studies curriculum.The posters, globe, and science kits will allow students to have an actual visual to help them grasp the content.

My Students

I'm responsible for teaching a100 young eager minds Science and Social Studies. The school I teach at is a Title 1 school with a very high poverty rate. My students come in the door with very few supplies and the school science room is lacking any real lab equipment. I can recall the best part of science for me growing up was the lab. I didn't always understand the information but when you get to actually put the information to work and actually observe and document your lab work, you get a better understanding. I'm hoping to make 6th-grade science something that will inspire these young minds to become future scientist.

I also want my students to learn to be self sufficient and become college and career ready.

Therefore, I have implemented Personalized Learning in the classroom. In order for my students to be successful we need daily supplies to keep my students engaged.

My Project

Teaching middle schoolers is a task. There is never a dull moment. I focus on building relationships and inspiring my students to become self sufficient. In doing so I have implemented Personaluzed Learning in the classroom. The supplies I'm asking for will allow our day to run smoothly, students to be comfortable and have the necessary materials to promote academic growth.

Students will have access to art supplies and science kits to complete activities and promote learning.

Cleaning supplies are essential to a science classroom. The beanbag chairs allows students to have a comfortable reading area for independent reading and pencils are something we never seem to have enough of.
