Ms. Pate from Fayetteville NC is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need headphones, review games, and writing prompts to assist them in making learning fun and meaningful to each of them.

I teach in a Title 1 High School with students from low economic statuses. My students are interested in technology and learning new things. Many of my students are unable to utilize technology outside of the classroom because they don't have the access beyond school. They love to share the things we learn in class at home. I love that they are eager to learn things that are beneficial to them outside of my classroom. I have a mixture of general and special ed students and although my special ed students aren't singled out my students are always willing to help each other to be successful in the course.
The students that I serve are curious, enthusiastic, and creative; they are all excited to immerse themselves in new opportunities that will prepare them for life experiences.
All of my students love hands-on learning and they excel at activities that allow them to be actively engaged. I love the family atmosphere that they create once they get to know each other. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group collaboration, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met where they are!
Using computers is a daily experience in my classroom. My students love technology and computers have become a large part of the world This project is requesting headsets to aid my students in their technological experiences. Many of them request headphones because they learn better with music or they need text read aloud to them when completing assignments. The bingo games will aid them in learning course required material in a fun way. Writing prompts help them practice skills that they have developed in other curriculum areas and strengthen their writing skills.
By donating these materials you will assist all of my students by providing them with resources that will benefit their learning.
I believe that providing my students with these items will increase their desire to complete classwork in a timely fashion and many of them will get a clearer understanding by having the one-on-one read aloud experience in the general ed setting. The games will help those that haven't yet grasped concepts master them in a fun way while reinforcing it with those who have learned the material through traditional methods. My students will have enjoyable experiences while learning required material thanks to your donations.
