Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Spanish at a Title I high school in the Los Angeles Area. More than 70% of our students qualify for free lunch. My students enjoy learning Spanish through different sources besides the textbook. They enjoy the different technology applications that we use in class.

My Project

The MacBook will allow me to host my zoom meetings without interruptions. My students will benefit from this because they will not have to wait for me to reconnect as it is an issue with slower computers. My older laptop is getting slow and it takes a really long time to load any window or assignment.

With this MacBook I will be able to help students experience a more stress free environment.

It will also help me continue creating Google Documents with assignments for students to complete and Google Slides where I prepare and present my presentations as well as other documents for my students. I will also be able to provide faster feedback to my students on their assignments as this device will work faster and it will be great during distance learning. This MacBook will help me increase engagement and keep up with my student's needs.
