This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with very eager students who are always willing to learn about the world around them. My classroom is also a place filled with students who are Deaf or hard of hearing, so they are always willing to find new ways to explore information that will help them grow and develop as individuals. They are students who use their voices and hands to share their love and knowledge with those around them everyday. They find ways to impact those around them in new ways almost everyday!

My Project

I am requesting the opportunity to attend a professional development that will provide me with ideas on increasing student engagement while providing them with state appropriate TEKS.

This opportunity will help me grow as a teacher, and find ways to better reach my students in new and exciting ways.

Being a teacher of the Deaf, I am always looking for hands on opportunities to bring the content to life. This opportunity will provide me with new tools to add to my toolbox to help those students in my classroom now, and those who will enter my classroom in the future.
