Making Learning Fun and Engaging from Home
Help me give my students hands on fun materials they can use at home during this time of learning at home.
Our distance learning started in early March and was a huge adjustment for us all. My students learn best through hands on, face to face learning so we had to become smart and figure out the best way to do this. I sent my students home materials on the last day of school, but at that time we had no idea we would be doing this for 6 months. Materials have dwindled and I’d love to make sure they have everything they need for virtual summer school.
The creative items I picked will help my students by allowing them to work on all of their IEP goals at home with their parents. A lot of my students do not have the materials they need to have fun while learning their goals so these materials will make their summer learning enjoyable and interactive. I do a lot of live sessions with my students and would to make then fun and engaging during such a strange and unpredictable time in their lives. Bring home for 6 months is not easy on anybody, but it’s especially confusing to my kiddos that don’t understand what’s going on.
