This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A day in my classroom includes lots of new words, expressions, and translations. My students engage in a series of interactions to complete their assignments in a second language. I wish my students know that they can achieve anything as long as they put their mind to it and work hard.

After almost five years in a Spanish Immersion Program, my students have come a long way!

They are creative and willing to face any challenge that comes their way. In this digital era, they are craving the technological tools to help them create and explore a whole new world. Even though we are a Title 1 School and have limited resources, our students always have a positive attitude and reach their goals through motivation and hard work. Each one of these creative minds have demonstrated that they can make all their dreams come true if they set their minds to it.

My Project

The iPads and Osmo will be resources that will be available to the students on a daily basis in our different learning stations. Both Math and Spanish lessons will definitely be enriched with them. They will be able to explore the technological world. Projects like writing their own stories and sharing them with their classmates will become easier and more creative for them. Creative writing skills, collaboration, creativity, and teamwork will be promoted during each one of the daily activities when working with our new resources. The opportunity of creating digital projects in both Reading and Math will broaden their horizons and make them see all that they can achieve.

Technological tools will help create 21st century learners is our classrooms.

Students who have access to technology and feel confident in what they are doing, will be very successful members of our communities in the future. These donations will improve the quality of the school work that they will complete and promote their creativity, effort, and elevate their expectations and help them reach their goals in life.
