Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher setting up a self-contained autistic support classroom and in need of flexible seating options including wobble chairs and bean bags as well as other sensory items.

Flexible seating options allow kids with autism to get sensory input which helping them concentrate which makes learning more accessible.

As a brand new teacher, I am in need of a lot of the basics and could use your help! My students will use the sensory fidgets to self-regulate, relieve anxiety, and focus their attention so that they can participate in learning activities and limit disruptive behaviors.

The magnetic tiles, kinetic sand, and alphabet tiles will be used in a plethora of ways, such as a self regulating tool, an option for a prize for my students' behavior charts, as well as a way to engage students in multi sensory learning.

Donating to my project not only helps students with diverse needs but also a first year teacher who is setting up a brand new classroom from scratch!
