My Project

The items I am requesting for my classroom include a Calming Center equipped with a variety of sensory tools and toys, as well as comfortable and flexible seating and a classroom rug. These resources will create a safe space for students to manage their emotions and regulate their sensory needs. With a dedicated area for calming down, students will be better prepared to focus and engage in their learning. Additionally, incorporating resources that cater to different learning styles such as visual aids, hands-on materials, and auditory supports will address the diverse needs of all students, ensuring that everyone can effectively learn inside my classroom.The goals for this project include creating a calm and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic success.

I am aiming to help students develop self-regulation skills, improve focus, and reduce anxiety.

By providing resources that address various learning styles, I hope to enhance engagement and foster a love for learning among my students. Ultimately, I want to empower our students to thrive academically and socially in a nurturing atmosphere.

My 8th grade SPED resource students are remarkable individuals who exhibit a wide range of talents, strengths, and unique learning needs. They are resilient and adaptable, often finding innovative ways to approach challenges. Each student brings their own perspective and creativity to the classroom, enriching our learning community. Their willingness to support one another and collaborate makes our classroom a welcoming space. By recognizing and embracing their diverse learning styles, I can help create an inclusive environment where every student that walks inside my classroom feels valued and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
