Making Kindergarten Memories

My Project

One of my fondest memories from kindergarten was the sensory table. My teacher always had fun themes and fun things for us to play with at the table. Knowing that the sensory table was a highlight of my kindergarten experience and something I remember doing over 20 years ago, I am hoping to make those memories for my students. While I am grateful that I was provided with 2 sensory tables, I wasn't provided with materials to use in them. Many of the items on my list will help me increase the amount of activities that can be done on my tables.

Hands-on learning and exploration are essential to a student's learning at this age.

Sensory tables allow students the opportunity to not only learn and explore, but to build fine motor skills and interpersonal skills that will help them become good people and students. We need sensory sand box, toy animals, color paper, sand timer, and water beads.
