Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Being in a community in a low income area, some basic necessities may be difficult for my students to have. If I expect the students to have excellent attendance at school, they must be healthy. If we can't help ourselves stay healthy, then we start to get sick. Once one student gets sick, then another one follows. When students miss school, they miss out on all the learning. It would surely help to provide students with tissue boxes in the classroom, it can help them towards good health habits.

All school year, we have been talking about kindness and friendship.

I plan to have a celebration on Valentine's Day to emphasize the meaning of being kind to one another. It would be wonderful to be able to give the students a cuddly teddy bear of their own to know they always have a friend with them.

In this project, I am also requesting for some snacks for the students. Believe it or not, students do get hungry throughout the day. Many students go home to little or no food available. I want to be able to supply students with some snacks that can satisfy their hunger.
