This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Monday through Friday, I come prepared to teach wonderful and capable groups of students. They are bright eyed, eager learners who are our future doctors, lawyers, engineers, and leaders.

It is our responsibility as educators to provide our students with the necessary tools to build math foundational skills, engage in discussion, and promote learning.

The requested magnetic number tiles, ten frames, activity dice, and bear counters will serve as visual aides that will be physically manipulated to understand number concepts. The rekenrek and abacus will also serve to deepen student understanding of numbers and counting. Furthermore, all the math resources will assist with learning new skills and mastering others. By developing and strengthening math foundational skills, students will build their confidence when working with numbers. This will promote student success in an engaging learning environment where students learn to be flexible with their thinking when approaching and solving problems.
