My Project
My class absolutely enjoys any cooking activity. We especially enjoy making different kinds of smoothies!
My students can be very selective about eating their fruits and veggies, and making smoothies can be such a fun way to introduce different foods into their diets.
Smoothie-making activities, using the requested blenders, can also be a fun way to reinforce learning targets and work towards independent living goals. We also practice mathematics skills when we measure or count the different ingredients. There are just so many different opportunities for learning for all students when we bring cooking into the classroom.
