My students need "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens "to improve their organizational skills and better prepare them the challenges they will face in college.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Jimenez's classroom raised $253
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have described Health as "life class" where they reflect on what drives them and think about how they can improve on their health for life.
My students are incredible.
They are talented and diverse bunch of artists and problem solvers. Being in a performing arts school most have much on their plate already. For my seniors, soon they will be going to college and will have even more responsibilities.
My Project
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens will be used in our classroom in two ways: group work and individual reading assignments. Sometimes I will assign a short reading and my students will be asked to synthesize what they have read and share with the class. other times I will ask students to read a passage and reflect on how they can apply that concept to their life.
This project will help stressed teens by giving them an action plan for more effective life managing skills.
It will help prepare them for college and real world situations where sometimes anyone can feel overwhelmed. It will help literacy and will allow me to bring in Common Core skills into my Health classroom.
