My Project

My students are curious, energetic, and playful, always eager to explore the world around them. They approach our diverse curriculum with excitement, whether we’re studying Botany, Birding, The Sea, or learning about immigrants and community change makers. However, many face barriers that can hinder their engagement. Some struggle with mental health challenges and positive self-talk, while others find it difficult to focus. By addressing these unique needs, we can create a more inclusive learning environment.

Imagine a classroom where every child can unleash their creativity and curiosity, fully equipped with the tools they need to succeed!

The materials I am requesting—fidgets, noise-blocking headphones, and engaging pens—will enhance student learning significantly. The NeeDoh products provide a tactile outlet, helping students relieve stress and maintain focus. Noise-blocking headphones create a calm environment, essential in our Neighborhood School, where students with diverse needs learn together. Additionally, Sharpie Gel pens and flair pens will make writing more engaging, particularly as they learn cursive and essay writing. These tools will support academic growth and help each child feel more confident.

My goal for this project is to ensure that all students have access to these empowering materials. Currently, I have a limited supply that often goes to my high-needs students, leaving others without essential resources. I want to create an environment where every student can benefit from these tools. By expanding access to fidgets, engaging writing instruments, and noise-canceling headphones, I aim to foster curiosity and success for all learners. Through this initiative, I hope to inspire a love for learning and equip my students with the tools they need to thrive.
