The Art Rooms is a special place in which all students are welcome to be who they want to be. Art allows students to come together and celebrate what makes them unique. In the world we live in today it is more important than ever to celebrate our individuality and splendor.
Henri Matisse stated "Creativity take courage," and these words could not be more true.
The students who enter the Art Room are tasked with sharing their stories and experiences bringing in a greater global perspective.
My Project
The books from the list have been carefully chosen to bring not only a global perspective but also introduce voices that students can relate to. They will be a great addition to our small classroom library!
Your donation will reach students in grades Kindergarten through 6th.
The books are for all different reading levels and will accompany various art projects to engage students in meaningful learning. Reading promotes creativity and understanding; these books will help my students find their voice and promote lifelong learning. Thank you so much!
