I am a reading teacher and interventionist in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are exceptional, and I love going to school every day to see the sparkle in my students' eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students love to read, pretend, and imagine. They are curious and love to learn! We all participate in learning every day. They love so many fun activities throughout the year, and we hope to add even more. My students are amazing!
My Project
My students and I are having a ball! They are learning to read, and I am privileged to be their teacher. I love helping students who struggle with reading, have dyslexia, or just need a little brushing up. I am hoping to get a very cost effective laminator for my students so that they can make durable, homemade reading games with my help.
There is nothing better than seeing a student's eyes light up when they are able to attack gigantic words or read a book that they have wanted to read for the very first time.
My students love to play the game Splash! They would play it all day if I let them. And this game really, really helps them boost their reading skills. But, my students need more practice. So, we are hoping to get this laminator and laminating pouches so that we can create our own learning games. We will be able to create and play all kinds of sight word games, phonemic awareness activities, blends, digraphs, rhyming, contractions, morpheme, grapheme, and other fun learning games. The laminator will make our homemade game pieces durable so that they will last for years of learning fun.
