This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is ranked as a high poverty school with 99% of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. Most of our kids come from single-parent or severely dysfunctional homes. Keeping students excited about staying active is very challenging given their difficult home lives. Moreover, it is more difficult due to the lack of equipment for our students on our campus.

We offer sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, softball.

The problem is that we never have the equipment. Kids normally have to share them or go without the use of proper equipment.

My Project

These donations will vastly improve the much-needed skills our football teams so desperately needed. We are currently trying to practice while maintaining space and safety during this pandemic. These football dummies are easy to sanitize and good for multiple uses. Also, these football dummies can be used for various drills and training exercises. Our season is currently up in which is alright because it gives us more time to prepare. Thank you in advance for your donations and help in assisting our athletes in learning hard work and persevere through training. Our goal is to have this mentality transfer over into all aspects of their lives.
