My Students
My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources above basic school supplies. One of the biggest challenges my families face is the ability to provide extra resources and opportunities for their children.
We need to get each student the support needed to be successful in the classroom.
A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes and need supports provided in the classroom.
My Project
Help me give my students a way to show off their pretend play skills. Each year, our students learn all different skills around community members. The classroom is set up to allow the students to understand sharing, shopping experiences, making foods, and using their imagination through play.
The sandwich counter play set will allow students to use their imagination and learn many life skills.
This play set will allow other students to come in to the room and learn how to shop and spend money. This is a crucial part of students' growth.
