Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The game Jenga will be used as an engaging ice breaker activity to help students feel more comfortable and open with one another at the start of the school year. By participating in this interactive game, students will have a chance to introduce themselves, share fun facts, and learn about their classmates in a low-pressure environment. Similarly, a simple game of tic-tac-toe can be adapted to foster connections by pairing students together and prompting them to answer questions or share something about themselves with each move. These activities encourage collaboration, spark conversation, and help build a sense of community in the classroom. We are also in need of lamps and pencil sharpeners for the classroom.
