My students need beading cord for making a handmade bracelet. This cord is stretchy and strong, perfect for little wrists.
This project expired on May 31, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our student population is the second poorest in the 13th largest, school district in the U.S.A. They are kind, hard working, loving, and smart. We receive $1.50 per student per academic year for supplies. Even though I personally buy a lot of supplies, I can't swing this one.
Our students mostly come from Central America and the Caribbean.
Their families do not apply for WICK, Aid to dependent families and children, or welfare, but they represent the poorest of the poor in our country. You will never meet a kinder, harder working group of kids anywhere.
Its hard to imagine a little girl without a bracelet. With your help, that won't happen at my elementary school this year. A bead distributor donated beautiful odds and ends beads for my 850 students to make a bracelet, but we need beading cord to make this glorious project happen.
Children enjoy using their favorite colors and creating pretty patterns when making a bracelet for themselves or the Mother.
Without a clasp, this stretchy but strong cording is perfect for little wrists.
Oh the joy that a little handmade bracelet brings to a small child!
A beautiful bracelet brings great joy to a child of poverty who has little beauty in their life.
