This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am implementing a new type of lesson in my speech therapy sessions this upcoming school year with 5 minute articulation drill sessions! There is a lot of current research on this type of session. It helps students make progress more quickly on their articulation and sound goals, while taking them out of the classroom for shorter amounts of time. The rolling cart will help me travel all around the school to implement these sessions right outside of a student's classroom, rather than having them come all the way to the speech therapy room. While I already have many fun reinforcers, the inclusion of bingo dotters, counters, and a timer will help both myself and my students keep track of how many words they have successfully practiced to get to our goal is 100! Thank you for supporting this new venture at our school.
