Making Art Easy

My Project

My students deserve to be creative and use their hard-working brains in lots of different ways. With these fine-point pens and blank books, I will teach students how to make simple line drawings and designs, similar to Zentangle pattern drawing. The paints and brushes I'm requesting I will add to my current supplies of watercolors and quality paper to teach students about mixing primary colors and to use in free painting activities.

I believe it's important for students to learn simple art techniques and activities that they can continue to use and build on for a lifetime.

Art doesn't have to be complicated, and we don't need fancy supplies. Using basic materials, such as ink pens, brushes, and paint, are easy skills kids can use again and again.

We are currently learning about the 7 elements of art, including line and color, so these simple materials will help extend our understanding. And bonus--using pens and paint brushes will help students improve finger dexterity and focus. Students will keep their ink pens and all the drawings they create in these blank booklets.
