Making an Effective Classroom for my Virtual Learners!

My Students

My students are passionate about learning! They have beautiful and creative minds; they need a little help bringing it out. I want to help my student get an effective online education that they deserve.

My students are full of life and energy and are always excited to learn.

They come from a disadvantaged school on the Windward side of Oahu. Our school is located in a predominately rural, low-income neighborhood with a considerable portion of the children of Hawaiian and Micronesian ancestry. I have a very diverse class of 22 students from different cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds. This year I am teaching my kindergarteners virtually from my classroom. Although virtual learning isn't ideal, I am blessed to have this opportunity to continue to educate my students.

My Project

Due to COVID-19, our classrooms had to be modified and rearranged to accommodate six feet distancing. Due to this, I would like to request a stand-up adjustable desk so that I can adjust my computer so that the students are able to see the whiteboard and the smartboard, during my virtual lessons.

I would like for my students to feel as if they are in the classroom with me.

Being able to stand and be in front of my classroom's whiteboard and smartboard to teach will give my students more engaged in the lessons. As of today, I have seen my kindergarteners being eager learners, and I would like to see that continue throughout the year.
