This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In August parents start to buy supplies for school. In an NYC school, this may not happen for many students. Parents cannot afford basic supplies. In algebra class, they need pencils, colored highlighters, Post-it notes, and more to help them understand algebra. In my class algebra comes alive with color. I truly believe that color helps them learn and understand algebra better.
Color helps them see the math come alive to them.
It's important for them to understand. Algebra is the foundation for all high school math.
Please help me get the supplies these freshmen need to succeed in my algebra class.
