My Project

T. School is an Ocean Guardian school and my third graders have taken that mission to heart! We have been spending our morning meetings discussing what we can do within our own class to be more Earth friendly and they had so many good ideas!

One thing that really stood out was water bottles and cleaning supplies!

We always strive to keep our classroom a clean and inviting space but the cleaning products we are currently using have a lot of plastics and wipes that are single use. With reusable paper towels and a spray bottle we would illuminate those single use plastics out of our space! Each student wants to do their part but sometimes are financially unable to do so. By putting water bottles into this project I will be able to make sure each student has equal opportunity to do their part and avoid single use plastics.

As a final part to this project we have included recycling bins. with these we will collect cans that Ms.Cornwall will take to the recycling each week and paper that we will use for art projects in class!
