Making a Fun Math Learning Environment

My Project

As a first year teacher, I have had difficulty with finding the materials that I need to run an effective classroom. I have received support and materials from many of the other teachers I work with and I am incredibly grateful to those teachers. At the same time, I want to be able to consistently supply my students with the supplies to make math fun, accessible, and relatable to them. That is why I am asking for rulers and yardsticks, so my students can see the math of measurement in real life, such as understanding how fractions of an inch add up to a whole inch. My students love writing on whiteboards and having the supplies to do so will let them have more fun while learning mathematics.

My goal for this project is to create a comfortable, fun, and engaging learning environment for my students.

Teaching can be chaotic, and I want to make sure my students have a sanitary, comfortable environment to learn in. In order to achieve this, I need cleaning supplies like paper towels and cleaning wipes, as well as fans to cool us down. Being comfortable will help my students focus on their learning and success.
