My Students
You can make a difference in the lives of my students by allowing them the opportunity to develop a love of reading.
I teach third grade and this year I have 2 groups of 25 students.
I teach at a public school and we are feeling the cutbacks like everyone else. Our budget doesn't allow for extra resources and books. I have a classroom full of children, all with different levels and interests. I would like to provide them with a wide variety of genres.
My Project
As teachers, we need to be able to meet the individual needs of all students. You will make a difference by providing my classroom with a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction literature which will allow them to have a "good-fit book." It is very important that we match readers with appropriate text that they can read independently.
I have a classroom full of children, all with different needs and interests.
This project will help me accomplish my goal of having every student become a better reader and develop a love for reading. Students need to have a wide variety of genres to choose from.
