It's time to create connections! Pre-teen students have little time throughout their school day to socialize and talk with friends in a productive, fun way. This lunchtime project of games and motivational bracelets will provide middle school students with challenging games and activities they can enjoy once they have finished eating. Students will be able to collaborate, learn from each other, share ideas, and interact with both old and new friends.

As a certified and experienced middle school counselor, I see the need for improving communication/problem-solving skills on a daily basis.
A few weeks ago, I started providing some gaming opportunities in our school cafeteria. The results have been amazing. Students have been eager to interact and play, creating a quieter, more relaxed lunch experience. They don't even realize what wonderful skills they are developing as they inquire and reflect upon their gaming strategies.
