My Project
I teach 6th grade Science, Social Studies, and SEL (Social Emotional Learning ) to a group of curious and excited students.
They love the opportunity to explore and create on their own so I like to allow them the opportunity to make projects using art supplies, and posters.
They learn best by doing and being scientists themselves by exploring the different types of rocks and minerals. We also make illustrations of the soil using Oreos and other edible supplies so they can learn and have fun as well as a tasty treat when it's all done. Students will be learning about the different types of rocks and how they are formed. The supplies requested will allow students to analyze and describe different types of rocks. Students will get the chance to be young scientists and experiment on their own with the resources making the whole experience more meaningful.
