Help me give my students rewards for students who show up and show out on the ACT. From test-day raffles to score-based prizes—we celebrate effort, achievement, and the Jackrabbit grind every step of the way.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Mesa Makin’ Moves is more than just a program—it’s a movement at our school to help students believe in themselves and their future. Centered around the ACT, this initiative celebrates the courage it takes for students to show up, give their best, and take steps toward college and career readiness.
For many of our students, the ACT can feel overwhelming.
Some are first-generation college-bound, many carry heavy responsibilities outside of school, and others struggle to see the value in a test that seems so distant from their daily lives. Mesa Makin’ Moves was created to change that.
We offer meaningful incentives—raffles, prizes, and public recognition—to create a culture where effort is seen, hard work is rewarded, and academic success feels attainable. More than that, we make ACT day feel like a community event. It’s a celebration of possibility. The Apple MacBook Airs are a part of the raffle for the students who score a 32 or higher.
Your support helps us tell our students: We see you. We believe in you. And we’re with you every step of the way. With your help, we can continue to uplift and inspire students to reach higher, push further, and carry on—because at Mesa High, we’re always makin’ moves.
