Welcome to the crazy classroom! My students are all energetic, very smart, creative and most importantly gifted! I teach in the Cave Creek gifted pull-out program that services over one hundred, third through eighth grade students! These students visit my class once a week to work on personalized special projects that are interesting to them.
When you walk into our classroom, you will never see the students working on the same task.
Every student brings his or her unique talents to the room that results in a unique learning environment like no other.
My Project
The Makey Makey is an electronic tool that connects with a computer and allows the user to make custom buttons and commands. The device is a simple circuit board that communicates with mouse and keyboard commands. Makey Makey will work on any computer or website.
The possibilities of products with the Makey Makey are endless and up to the students' imagination.
Some students have expressed the desire to make specialized computer mice or game console controllers for those with a disability. Other students would like to learn more about the process of manipulating computers and systems for new learning. Regardless of the product made, all students will learn more about computer systems and connections with this valuable tool!
