it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My fourth-grade scholars are always motivated to learn, especially with hands-on resources! They are also inquisitive, hard-workers, and quite humorous (We laugh a lot throughout the day!). When challenges arise, and every day they do, we persevere and humor (and sometimes a quick, little dance) is always part of it! Your contributions to this request will foster such an environment and will provide some excellent coding and science investigations during this second half of the school year.
The geodes and volcano kits will support my students' learning when they work on our geology unit; you can only imagine their enjoyment when they break open the rocks to investigate and when they see their volcanoes erupt!
After they conduct the geology experiments, along with the augmented/virtual reality explorations with the Merge Cubes, they will be integrating physical computing by using the Makey Makey Coding Kits to demonstrate their learning in those topics. These three, additional Makey Makey kits will allow my students to work in pairs, since we already have 12 of them. Moreover, today I completed a Makey Makey Teacher Development Course, and I learned additional ways to implement physical computing in any core subject; your donations will support this effort.
The stylus pens will supply my student teams with one additional pen to use when working collaboratively with their iPads; these pens are an affordable alternative to the expensive Apple pens.
