Makey Makey: Empowering Student Creativity Through Circuits and Coding!

Help me give my students Makey Makey kits and protective cases by giving them hands-on tools to explore circuits, coding, and creativity.

My Project

With the Makey Makey invention kits, students will be able to turn everyday objects—like bananas, play-dough, or even pencil drawings—into computer keys and game controllers. This project will allow students to explore circuitry, conductivity, and coding through fun, interactive experiments.

We’ll start by learning the basics of circuits, and then dive into making musical instruments, interactive posters, and even student-designed arcade games.

These activities align with STEM and computer science standards and foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.

The kits will be used across grade levels and integrated into science, technology, and art lessons. Students will not just be passive users of technology—they'll be inventors.
