Makerspace Supplies

Help me give my students supplies to start a makerspace area in our classroom.

My Students

We are a multicultural classroom. The majority of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. We have a large population of migrant students from various places. The largest would be Somali students. For some of our students, this is their first time going to school in America.

Many of our students are trauma-impacted, low income students.

These students view school as their safe place and a place where they can be themselves.

We have a very supportive community that is built mostly of refugees.

My Project

Our science classroom is trying to start a makerspace area and we are in need of some basic supplies.

We need supplies that allow students to design and create in our science classroom.

All activities are aligned with the units we are learning as a whole class. We are looking for the basic supplies to get up and going. We would like some bottles of glue, pipe cleaners, a box to store supplies in, paper plates and balloons. These are some of the materials that we need in order to do some of our makerspace activities. We would also like a plastic frame to hold our challenges in.
