This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are great learners and always wanting to try new things. However, they struggle at times managing their emotions. This project would allow us to have materials in a Makerspace for students to use that will connect their love of leaning to emotional regulations. They will be able to build, create poetry, shred their worries, identify with emotion plushes, etc. that will allow them to utilize academic skills while building their emotional regulation.
My students love learning with hands-on materials.
The supplies included in this project will help learners of all backgrounds be able to learn in a way that best meets their needs. These materials like tiles, magnets and more will be utilized by the entire school, so that every student can enjoy the Makerspace.
