My students love being creative. Whether it's drawing, painting, building...it doesn't matter. They love hands-on projects that allow them to make things they do not get the chance to create in the classroom.
This project will give my students the tools they need to stretch their creativity muscles and explore different media!
Several students recently learned about quilling. This project will provide most of the materials they need to get started. It will also supply a few basic items, like embroidery-style scissors and fine tweezers, that can be used for multiple projects.
Many students use art as a way to express themselves and to regulate their emotions when they are feeling upset or stressed. I encourage them to use what they need to get themselves to a place where they are feeling calm and ready to learn. Having a creative place where students can go to relax and recharge gives them an outlet when they need a mental break.
