This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to make - everything under the sun. Since we are at the end of the school year, my supplies are looking very meager.

Boxes, straws, paperclips, craft sticks, zip ties, and colored paper are all examples of great Makerspace items that can be combined with recyclables to make a student's imagination come to life!

Makerspaces provide materials and resources to foster learning through inquiry. It is a place where students are not constrained by state testing standards and are allowed to explore, create, design and build their own inventions.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
