By having a diverse population, our students needs are very diverse as well which require a different style of learning here in the media center.
Each grade level/class has different abilities and levels of learning that take place. As part of the media center transformation I am trying to figure out what makes each student learn at a high rate, be engaged, and find meaningful ways to excel in a different setting than just a classroom.
My Project
The STEM cart will allow my students to engage in more activities that allow them to be creative, motivated, and exploratory with their abilities. The few Makerspace items we have currently in the media center have only scratched the surface of the student's abilities. This cart will allow to a special place to students to locate materials, and use them effectively. Finally, this cart will help our media center take the next step in my Makerspace integration.
By helping with this project, you are allowing students a real hands on approach to learning and learning in a way that is at their pace and individual choice.
