My Students

We are from a small town in upstate South Carolina. It's the home of an amazing University (and football team!). Many of my students have parents or other family members that work for Clemson University.

We have a very diverse population of students.

Our class alone represents six nationalities. We celebrate our uniqueness and learn from each other. My students are high achievers. Many of them are reading above grade level, and excelling! They love to be challenged, and they love to learn in new and engaging ways.

My Project

I love to provide my students with lots of different resources so their imagination can run wild in our Makerspace center! Our center is stocked with a variety of craft supplies, like paper, markers, crayons, and more. They use these supplies to design things, and come up with creative problem solving methods. They may build bridges, parachutes, or animal homes. There are no crafting rules, only supplies and creative ideas. This center is so engaging and exciting as they use their creative thinking and the wonderful variety of craft supplies!
