Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager and ready to learn in a 21st century classroom. I have 22 students that come from diverse home environments. They are eager to learn and eager for more opportunities with hands on materials. Whilst creating an honest and safe environment.
Many of my students do not have regular access to STEAM opportunities.
It is my job to create and give my students every opportunity I can. I love being able to be their advocate for more and for better.
My Project
My students LOVE going to our Makers Space area in our classroom. They ask to make things and create things all the time! I love being able to see their creative spirit soar during our Makers Space time. Sometimes we have challenges where they have to create and build specific things. Other times, my students just want to tell their own story using simple materials.
I have asked for basic supplies like string, pipe cleaners, and cotton balls to replenish our Makers Space.
