Help me give my students the materials they need to complete projects in art and engineering.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. G.'s classroom raised $277
This project is fully funded
My Students
I teach in a rural district. My school is 76% free and reduced lunch. I teach over 400 students of fourth and fifth graders. My school has a STEAM program started last year. We don't have a lot of materials or equipment. I want to add a new projects in the areas of Art and Engineering to the classroom.
My Project
These projects will make a huge difference to my students. Without Donorschoose, my students would not be able to have these learning experiences. Hands-on learning is the best way to engage the students and allow them to create what they imagine. It helps them think and go through the steps of the engineering process to make their designs a reality.
The Maker set and art supplies will allow students to create, design, and build original masks and machines.
The art project will be for students to create masks to be used to help tell folktales from around the world. The engineering project will use the Maker set for students to design and construct a 3D model of buildings and machines. These projects will give students the opportunity to use their imagination, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
