My Students

Our school is a small, neighborhood, Title I-funded school in Florida. It serves students in preK through fifth grade. I am the STEAM teacher at my school and serve over 500 students. We have a wide range of learners in our class, from students who have been designated as advanced learners to students with varying learning disabilities, as well as students from many cultures. They are big dreamers that will go far in this world. They love to share what they know and do so with group projects and collaborative learning.

I always tell my students, "Dream big, and reach for the stars"!

My Project

As a STEAM teacher I provide my students with lessons that they get to build, test, and improve. Many of these lessons require daily household items. We go through lots of straws, craft sticks, toothpicks and more. These are also a part of our maker space center where students get to use their imagination to build and explore;.
