My Project

We love watching middle school and high school students develop their curiosity when they are engaged in building something exciting! This is why we are starting a Maker Space area in our 6-12 library. We want to promote problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork by providing STEM kits for them to explore. K'NEX sets, and Thames & Kosmos sets are perfect for getting our Maker Space up and running.

We chose these STEM kits because they are colorful and easy/difficult enough to entice middle and high school students to experiment.

These STEM sets will provide activities different from what they receive in the regular classroom. Students can then apply the principles they learn by exploring the Maker Space to their everyday classwork. We are excited to watch our students grow as they engage themselves in our Maker Space projects.

Our library budget is dwindling. With your help, we can encourage our students to grow by providing them with new STEM activities in our library. I appreciate your help.
