This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are very involved in the arts in my class. We do a lot of hands on learning so that the kids get real world experiences. I really feel that music plays an important roll in learning! œWords represent your intellect. The sound, gesture and movement represent your feelings. - Patricia Feelings

My school is very supportive of the arts.

The kids begin to learn to play the violin in Kindergarten and take it with them all the way until 8th grade. We are a no text book no homework school... this allows us as teachers to really get the kids involved in their own learning. We allow them to have real hands on experiences that will most likely stick with them forever! We learn a lot by doing long projects that allow the students to really guide which way the lessons are going to go. It is a very interesting way to learn and the kids love it!

My Project

My students will use these musical interments in all areas of study. I plan to use them a lot in reading, math, and science. There are tons of ways to get music involved into lessons. It will make the students more interested and feel more involved. If we use the interments to help up read a story or make a beat to go with it or even use them to help us add or subtract or count the students will be more likely to remember these lessons and have a little fun at the same time!

I feel that music is a very important power that everyone should include in their lives.

It really helps a lot of people with expressing themselves! As my quote said, music really represents the feelings you may be having but not willing to express in words. Music can help so many people grow and appreciate the arts. I feel that is an important part of everyone's daily life!
