Make Virtual Learning Real

My Students

My students consist of various ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, and I know some of them have more than 2 siblings but lack of technology devices, so it's difficult for them to continue their online learning if I only do livestream classes. That's why I decide to record videos to provide a flexible learning environment for my students.

Students have to get online for virtual instructions, but it's not something they're familiar with.

In order to make the virtual learning experience easy and fun, I try to accommodate teaching to be learner-friendly. I use a lot of screencasts the way we used to before social distancing to deliver lessons to ensure learning happen anytime and anywhere.

My Project

I'll use the document camera to project books or articles that we used to use in a real classroom setting to offer a better quality of reading materials to my students. As for the white board, markers and chart paper, they can all be used when I'm doing the livestream class. I would have something to write on next to me, so I don't have to share my screen all the time and I could have a quality time with them by checking on how they're doing from the computer screen. Because of these reasons, I think it'd be really nice if I could receive these supplies to help me make my virtual instruction go more smoothly.
