Make Them Proud With Read Alouds!

Help me give my students access to an amazing literary tool. In my experience as a teacher, students love being read to most. These tools will help students master literacy goals while they engage in something they enjoy.

My Students

My elementary school serves students ranging in grades Pre-K through 4th grade. My first-grade classroom is filled with 20 energetic, fun-loving, curious "tiny humans." They make me chuckle every single day.

My students continuously overcome obstacles thrown at them each and every day, and still always surprise me with their eagerness and readiness to learn.

They come to school each day with a smile, a hug, and a laugh.

I feel very lucky to be teaching these students, and even luckier that I can experience everything that they end up teaching me!

My Project

Literacy is always an area of HUGE expected growth in first grade. Having access to a read-aloud program and device will help students advance in their decoding and comprehension skills when it comes to reading and writing.

My students LOVE being read to.

I do so as much as I can, but unfortunately, when there is only one of me and twenty+ of them, I cannot always do so. Having these materials will guarantee that students will be able to be "read to" more often. This device will help them develop their sight word recognition, decoding skills, comprehension skills, and continue to instill their love of books and reading. This creates an invaluable core for their literacy instruction and mastery for years to come.
