Help me give my students a Dual-Channel Combo Pack Wireless Handheld Microphone; Wearable Microphone set for our first LEGO League Qualifying Tournament and the Mustang Robot Rodeo.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Mechanical Mustang Robotics Team hosts many community outreach events, specifically the first LEGO League middle school robotics tournament, and the Mustang Robot Rodeo FIRST Robotics Challenge off-season tournament. We introduce these students to our robot, to STEM activities, and to the idea that they too can become scientists or engineers in the future.
We host these STEM events at our school throughout the year; everything is done by our students for our students, and we need to make sure that everyone can hear our Robots!
For these events, we need a new set of microphones for the emcees to wear to announce the teams, what their robots are doing, the flow of the game, etc. One of the game announcers wears the headset/body pack microphone and the other uses the wireless microphone.
Hosting a STEM activity allows my students to engage in leadership activities, teamwork, peer tutoring, and social-emotional growth. Many of our students have community service requirements for specific clubs or honor societies. Our robotics team must engage in 40 hours of community service in the fall.
